Itinerary

Day 1 Welcome to Tbilisi

After picking you up from the airport we take you to a hotel near the center of the city. Spend the day exploring or relaxing. Tonight we meet and greet at Onward HQ for our tour briefing. Early tomorrow our adventure begins.

Day 2 Tbilisi to Vanadzor (220 KM)

We meet early in the morning at the Onward Garage. We suit up and ride south out of the city. After about an hours drive we get to the the border crossing and head into Armenia! We then get our first Armenian lunch and head to a beautiful monastery complex located high in the hills. We then ride around the Dzoragets Gorge and then onward to Vanadzor to stay in a local guesthouse.

Day 3 Vanadzor to Yerevan (160 KM)

Today we take a lesser known road to the Ambered Fortress and possibly even further to a secret lake high in the mountains. Then we head straight to center of Yerevan and enjoy the nightlife.

Day 4 Yerevan to Hermon (220 KM)

We wake early today beating the Yerevan traffic and head east to the Pagan temple of Garni. Hopefully its a clear day and we get a stunning view of Mount Ararat. We then head take backroads to the Noravank Monastery winding through huge canyons. Tonight we stay at a really special hotel located deep in the heart of Armenia.

Day 5 Hermon to Kappan (250 KM)

A very cool offroad section today! Then maybe even more up to Jermuk if the group is up for it! Then we take a ride on a new piece of road straight up into the clouds and rest for the night in Kappan.

Day 6 Kappan to Goris (110 KM)

Today is an easy day. We head north to the small town of Goris stopping to see the famous Tatev Monastery and the abandoned city of Khot. Once in Goris we have the option to explore the nearby rock formations and ancient cave settlements.

Day 7 Goris to Dilijan (275 KM)

Today we start making our way to Lake Sevan stopping at the Orbelian Caravanseri along the way. At the lake we enjoy some local fish for lunch and take in the view. Then onward to Dilijan.

Day 8 Dilijan to Tbilisi (250 KM)

Last day on the road! We take backroads to the border then proceed north to Tbilisi. We finally arrive back to Tbilisi and crack open a few beers and bask in the glory of an adventure well earned. Congratulations! You made it! Tonight we all meet at a local pub close to your hotel in center city.

Amazing 12 day extended trip. What a beautiful way to see and experience the country of Georgia. Paddy and Ann have it all figured out. Just show up and have the time of your life. The scenery is awe inspiring and just about everywhere you look. The people were lovely the food and wine was amazing. The riding was next level challenging but so much fun. Paddy stays up to date with route conditions, congestion and construction projects. The motorcycles were flawless and not even a year old. I can’t wait to go again and maybe see the country of Armenia with Onward Motorcycle Tours and Paddy and Ann.

What an incredible experience it was to ride motorcycles through the beautiful country of Georgia! Paddy along with Ann are a great duo for this guided experience. It’s obvious a lot of research has been done before hand to make sure you get to see the most amazing places and have the best experience possible. The bikes were capable and forgiving for any skill level of rider. Great on road and off road. My GoPro and phone are full of pictures and videos that will never do justice to the landscape. You need to see it in person and experience it for yourself. Airport pickup, the bikes, the accommodations and the meals are included. Everything is taken care of other than your travel to and from Tbilisi. If you would like a rewarding but challenging experience that very few people will get to experience you should do it.
